Understanding...

This past weekend was a blessing. The hubby and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary. We spent lots of time with family and old/new friends.

During this time, we reflected and observed just how far God has brought us. The major lesson was accepting that people are in our lives for a reason, season, or lifetime. Some people can only take you so far and vice versa. Though we love many, it is the few that genuinely love us back. And through it all, we have each other!

I will TRY to treat people better than I expect them to treat me...

Self Examination

When was the last time you examined yourself? Your life? Your thoughts…YOU? Do you want a better life? Do you want to improve and grow? More importantly, are you willing and teachable?

Let the self-examination begin:

Step 1- Answer this question, What do I hope to achieve by conducting a self-examination?

Step 2- Write down your answer and meditate on it. Determine if proceeding is for you.

Step 3- Describe your life’s vision at age 16, 21, and now. Find the common threads. Are these things still important to you?

Step 4- Examine the differences. Are these things still important to you?

Step 5- Determine where you are. Your achievement categories are “Conquered”, “Coasting”, “Can”, “Can’t.

Step 6- Now place these categories into your past, present, and future.

Step 7- Make a vision board.

Thought of the Day: Change begins within the heart

Moral: Change Cometh

Lesson: Change before you have to

Quote: “A sense of blessedness comes from a change of heart, not from more blessings.” –Mason Cooley

Bible Verse: I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26.
